Dr. Vali Mohammadi
Dr. Vali Mohammadi is well practiced in pediatric oral medicine and dental trauma as well as sedation techniques. He has extensive training and expertise in treating infants, children, and adolescents, including children you have special needs.
Dr. Vali spent most of his childhood in London before his family relocated to Los Angeles, where he pursued his undergraduate studies. In 1997, he received a B.A. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Art History from the University of Southern California. During that time he performed research in neuroscience at the California Institute of Technology and volunteered at the Los Angeles Free Clinic for disadvantaged children.
In 2003, Dr. Vali earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in Boston. Shortly after, he moved to New York City to complete a one year residency with Saint Vincent's Medical Center under the direction of oral & maxilofacial surgery. While earning his certificate, he emphasized on dentoalveolar and pediatric facial trauma. He then entered into private practice in Manhattan prior to pursuing a residency in the pediatric dental field. In January of 2007, Dr. Vali received his certificate of residency in Pediatric Dentistry from Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein in the Bronx. He also trained at the Rose F. Kennedy Center for developmentally disabled children, completing more than forty dental operating room cases. This not only advanced his skills, it also increased his interest and experience in treating children with special needs. Up to date, he has completed well over 150 general anesthesia cases restoring beautiful smiles in children!
Following several years of pediatric dentistry in Westchester, Dr. Vali’s expanding practice has led him to a new, larger space: Summerfield Pediatric Dentistry & Oral Surgery. He proudly opens the doors to this patient-centered office, which offers every family and child in and near Scarsdale the highest of standards in pediatric dental care. The new office has in mind the needs of the "modern child", filled with the latest kid friendly gadgets offered by Apple.
Dr. Vali is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatrics, the International Association of Pediatric Dentistry, the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry, the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry, and the New York State Association of Pediatric Dentists. Dr. Vali continues to teach interns and pre-dental candidates clinical skills specific to pediatric dentists. Dr. Vali is affiliated with Westchester Medical Center Maria Fareri Children's Hospital. He comes from a large family and has two nephews. Dr. Vali spends his free time appreciating modern art and architecture, as well as exploring other cultures through his travels.
